WELCOME TO MOTHER-CARE!
When JHM Global began, our focus had never waivered from assisting mothers and their children. We have come to realize that MOTHERS more often than not, bears the burden for the family unit in out times unlike in the old days.Today mothers are working, struggling to maintain the household, cook and feed the children, raise the kids, meet their physical, emotional and spiritual need even whilst themselves are in need of the same. A few are blessed with good husbands who work with them to help maintain the home and the children.
Mothers who are divorced, widowed or single in today's world have an even bigger battle to fight. In the developing nations, mothers have limited access to education, jobs or vocation. They are at he bottom of the pile and are struggling daily mostly in manual labor to feed their family.
Due to war, political unrest, poverty, divorce. economic downturn and misfortune some mothers have found themselves HOMELESS, living rough on the streets with their children. They are looked down at, ignored by the system [if at all there is one] marginalized and having to beg for bread and handouts. They have become regarded as the scum of the earth.
We were called to go out, seek and find such women. Our mandate is to let them know that they are PRECIOUS MOTHERS, that God loves them and cares about their circumstances. Our duty is to help them to get off the street into a safe & clean accommodation with their children.
Our responsibility is to help them gain access to restoration, counseling, health-care, vocational training, education, permanent safe housing and create for them an opportunity to start earning a living or to start a small trade.
We are called to EMPOWER them and give them HOPE!
That is what the PRECIOUS MOTHERS project is all about! Therefore we are appealing to:
INDIVIDUALS
CHURCHES
GROUPS
BUSINESSES [BIG & SMALL]
And anyone else, regardless of their religion, nationality, ethnicity or belief to JOIN FORCES with us in partnership with God to raise these women up from poverty and helplessness. These MOTHERS do not want HANDOUTS, No! They want the ability to HELP themselves!
